I’m Jaime Kuhn, the founder of The Empowered Companion, and my mission is to bring more compassion into the world, one moment and one interaction at a time. By meeting people through their love for animals, I inspire respect and partnership in human-animal relationships, fostering kindness that ripples out into our communities.

Education and development are at the heart of what I do. I am passionate about empowering others to create deeper, more compassionate connections with animals—whether through the Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki, end-of-life care, or feline behavior solutions. I teach classes and lead workshops that help caregivers bring presence, understanding, and healing to their relationships with animals. From offering peace and guidance during end-of-life transitions to addressing behavioral challenges that cause stress in households, my goal is to provide tools that bring harmony, balance, and connection to both animals and their families.

Beyond teaching and working directly with the companion animals in my care, I focus on development within my company, bringing together a team of like-minded individuals who share a commitment to providing calm, compassionate, and collaborative care. At The Empowered Companion, I’ve built a team of like-minded individuals who provide Compassionate Pet Sitting and End-of-Life Doula Support with the same calm, collaborative, and loving care that guides everything we do. Our team specializes in supporting families with senior and sensitive pets, offering reliable, thoughtful care that puts the well-being of animals first.

In addition to leading the team, I personally offer services rooted in my own expertise, including:

• Animal Reiki Sessions & Education: Promoting healing, peace, and connection while teaching others the Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki.

• Feline Behavior Modification: Helping families address behavioral challenges and restore harmony in their households.

I specialize in supporting animals facing aging, anxiety, and chronic illness while guiding their families with empathy and understanding. My certifications, including Companion Animal End of Life Doula, Advanced Feline Training Professional, and Level 3 (“Master”) Practitioner and Teacher in the Let Animals Lead® Method of Reiki, reflect my dedication to providing expert care and education.

I am also certified in Pet First Aid & CPR, which ensures I am equipped to respond to emergencies with confidence and skill, offering an added layer of safety and peace of mind to the families I work with. Personally, I draw on my experience as a Mesa Carrier in the Andean Shamanic Tradition to deepen my connection to the natural world and reinforce the interconnectedness of all beings.

Whether I’m teaching a class, developing my team, or supporting a family through a life transition, my goal is to create spaces where healing, connection, and peace can flourish. I believe that nurturing the bond between humans and animals is one of the most powerful ways to spread compassion, gentleness, and kindness in the world.
