Services and Pricing FAQ’s
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What is a pet sitting consultation and do I need one?
A: Required for all new clients, our Initial Pet Sitting Consultation allows us to meet you and your pet in your home, review care routines, and ask and answer questions prior to your first pet sitting service. We will collect your house key or access code at this time. Additional Consultations are available to review significant changes to pet care in your home, meet new pets, visit your new location after a move, or to go over questions regarding new routines.
Q: How many visits per day should I schedule?
A: We require a minimum of three visits per day for dogs, unless they have continuous access to a secured yard through a dog door. If they have free range in their yard, then we are happy to accommodate a minimum of two visits per visit. Our feline friends must be seen at least once per day to ensure their safety and health. We are happy to provide up to four visits per day, should that be the best fit for your family’s needs!
Q: What length of visit(s) should I book for my pet sitting?
A: We have suggestions for minimum times, but longer visits simply allow more time for play, love, and company! Times will be revisited at the Initial Consultation to ensure we are on the same page.

1-3 litter boxes

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: While we understand that plans change and emergencies occur, we have implemented a cancellation policy to ensure our staff’s livelihood is protected. The Empowered Companion reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 100% of the scheduled reservation for services canceled with less than 24 hours notice prior to the first scheduled service in a total booking, and 50% of the scheduled visits for services canceled with less than 48 hours notice prior to the first scheduled service in a total booking. Additionally, the Empowered Companion reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 100% of the scheduled visits in the event of a late departure or early return home, with less than 48 hours notice prior to the first scheduled service start date and time of a total pet sitting reservation.
